Israel & Middle East / Re: US Strikes Iran

I think it's time to scrutinise political contributions more harshly in the United States. AIPAC has far too much power in Washington.  Their ambitions for Israel are not in  line with the best interests of America.

I know it's highly unlikely to happen, but it would be in the best interests of the World. As an added bonus, the chances of another 9/11 style terrorist attack have increased exponentially.

Algoma Steel to layoff 300 workers as tariffs continue to damage business.  Another consequence of Carney still unable to make a deal to reduce tariffs.  A deal he said he would complete last July.

At this point, even you know this has nothing to do with Carney.  You are now trolling.

Just stop being an American sycophant and go back to the original... he was so good that the Beatles stole Obl-di-obla-da from him

The Offspring would later steal it off the Beatles.

"The Trump administration has led the United States into war with Iran, assuming it could secure a quick victory with limited costs. They were wrong. After more than two weeks of consistent bombing, new US intelligence suggests Iran’s regime is now consolidating power, unlikely to collapse, and led by a cadre more extreme than before.

Despite this, Washington is deploying thousands of additional troops to the Middle East, and Trump inches closer to a potential ground campaign inside Iran. It is time to face reality: tactical successes cannot mask what has quickly become another strategic failure in the Middle East."

This is going to end up being exponentially worse than any war the US has ever been in since WW2.  It's only going to get worse.

I have to confess that I missed what his signature said.  As for Dildo NL, I didn’t see that was a personal attack against you.  I didn’t relate it to you at all, just a clever and funny location.

Dildo is a wonderful town, and has great people.

Here, we see the great iceberg of Dildo, floating in the bay circa 2023.

It’s the opposite now primarily because Trump is president.  If it was an establishment democrat or republican it would be different.  The tens of thousands of protesters Iran killed over the past couple of months was barely on the radar of the mainstream media.

Just like what the US Government is doing to Cuba?

It's not like there aren't going to be millions (billions?) cracking that special bottle they've been saving when Taco finally croaks.

When Trump dies, I will be popping the champagne, with "Celebration" by Kool & The Gang, playing on loud speaker.  It will be the biggest thing since V-Day in Europe circa 1945.

The JRE podcast episode #2470 with Pierre is at 1.8 million views in just 1 day.

Poilievre as leader of the opposition, is God's gift to the Liberals. If Carney call an election this year, it would be a bloodbath. The Liberals would form the largest majority in Canadian history.

Dropkick Murphys are the most anti-MAGA band in America. They were actually banned from Twitter for their outspoken criticism on Trump, Musk and MAGA.

The total number of non-permanent residents declined by 6% in Q4, to 2,676,441 people.  This works out to roughly 161,000 non-permanent residents, who left Canada, and returned to their respective country.

The number of landed immigrants, who came to Canada in the last 3 months of 2025, was 83,168, which is a dramatic drop of -19.6% for Q4

Update***

Statistics Canada just released the population figures for the final quarter of 2025 (Oct-Dec). Canada's population continues to decline, as non-permanent residents are sent back to their respective countries.

Overall, Canada had a net loss of 103,500 people in Q4 of 2025.

Here are the figures:

Canada 41,472,100 (-103,500)

Newfoundland 548,557 (-1,000)
PEI 182,000 (-500)
Nova Scotia 1,090,100 (-1,800)
New Brunswick 867,400 (-1,200)
Quebec 9,033,900 (-24,200)
Ontario 16,136,500 (-55,900)
Manitoba 1,505,100 (-2,000)
Saskatchewan 1,265,900 (-300)
Alberta 5,048,200 (+7,300)
British Columbia 5,658,500 (-24,700)

Only Alberta had a net population gain, with an increase of 7,300.
Ontario, BC, and Quebec suffered the most, losing over 20,000 people for each province.

Per capita, Ontario lost the most, followed by British Columbia, then Quebec.

Trump's position on Iran:

1. Don't need help
2. We need help
3. Why aren't folks helping?
4. Helps on the way
5. Not telling you who is helping
6. Helps not actually on the way but we don't need it anyway
7. We may just abandon it and leave it to everyone else

This is what happens when you give a man with a history of draft dodging, (as well as all his family and ancestors) the role of "Chief of Staff."

This will not end well...

Trump is doing everything humanly possible to make the World cheer for Iran to win this war.
